In the month of October, our Algebra students began our second unit on Linear Equations. This unit is very real world focused since many things have a rate of change (which we in math class refer to as the slope) like exerting a certain amount of gallons of gas from your car per the amount of miles you travel!
In the month of November, students will continue this unit with introducing graphing lines in slope intercept form, how to write equations in standard form, and interpret scenarios that can be represented with horizontal lines or vertical lines which do not have a slope!
